Our January Prime of Your Life event, hosted at the UF Health North campus, was focused on navigating life’s challenges personally and as caregivers. Dr. Phyliss Taylor, medical director of UF Health Jacksonville Psychiatry, had a compelling presentation, filled with helpful advice, great discussions, and key points for attendees to apply in their daily lives. Attendees were delighted to snack on healthy lemon-themed refreshments, which aligned with the “When Life Hands You Lemons” theme.

Dr. Taylor’s presentation stressed the importance of recognizing stress and anxiety as well as prioritizing me-time.

Though all aspects of the presentation were informative and relatable, there was one mantra Dr. Taylor encouraged participants to follow in 2019 — I can’t be all things to all people all of the time.

This was one of our highest attended Prime of Your Life events, and for good reason! The feedback received on Dr. Taylor was outstanding, as all participants felt very connected to advice throughout the presentation.

Missed the event but want to learn how to overcome life’s challenges and take charge of your emotional health? Listen to the full presentation audio from the January event.

Our Prime of Your Life Women’s Health Series focuses on the health and unique needs of women. Each event is free to the public and hosted by experts from UF Health Jacksonville.
