About Brian K Yorkgitis

Brian Yorkgitis, D.O., is a University of Florida associate professor of surgery and a board-certified acute care surgeon at UF Health Jacksonville. He also serves as associate chair for community outreach for the Department of Surgery; associate director of UF Health TraumaOne Flight Services; and medical director of Pediatric Trauma. Dr. Yorkgitis received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his medical residency in surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, as well as a fellowship in surgical critical care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
